OUR ADVENTURE IN ADVENTURE LAND

So as every parent knows, getting your rugrats out of the house is so important for them and YOUR sanity. We were going bat-shit crazy last week with them driving us absolutely nuts at home. We figured lets do something different, when I say different I mean go somewhere to wear them out. We kept hearing about this Adventure Land in Anaheim and how much fun it is for kids, so we decided to make the trip from Santa Clarita to Anaheim. We were glad we did. It was actually a lot of fun.

By no means was this Disneyland. It is a glorified mini-carnival. The rides were very easy-going with no rollercoasters or anything that would traumatize a child for a lifetime. Lots of trains, fun wheels, and families bringing their small children. This is not the type of place you should be dedicating your entire day to because of how small the park is. We got there around 2pm and left the park by 3:30 and sat on pretty much everything. Luckily, it was not busy whatsoever, so worrying about taming Arianna in a long line did not happen, even for a Sunday. The kids thoroughly enjoyed our outing and were perfectly content at the end.

Food was surprisingly good as well. Not much options at all but the usual hot dogs, burgers and fries were a hit. The only complaint I had was the lack of cleanliness. Again, I am aware this was no Disneyland where you do not see a single piece of trash on the floor, but they definitely need to up their cleaning game.

If you are planning on going and taking your kiddos, here are a few things you need to know:

  • Do not think you will be spending the whole day there. You can do the whole place in under 2 hours, even on a Sunday.

  • The gift store is expensive, just like any other park.

  • There are no crazy or loopy rollercoasters at all. So if you have older children, they may not enjoy it as much as a 3 or 4 year old would.

  • Depending on the season, if it’s not summer, bring a jacket. For whatever reason, it got pretty windy at one point.

  • Bring sanitizing wipes or gels. The place is not that clean.

  • Ticket prices are super cheap. We paid $25 a person and Dominic was free. So this is a great place to go to if you’re on a budget.

  • They do not require masks at all and they did not check our vaccination status despite what their website says. Employees remain masked.

  • Trust me, your kiddos will have fun.
